White Salmon, Wash. – Skyline Foundation is accepting applications for the Brown Nursing Scholarship Fund and the Wayne M. Henkle, M.D., Scholarship Fund.
The Brown Nursing Scholarship established by Ted and Sylvia Brown is designated for residents of the Gorge who seek secondary education in the nursing field. The scholarship supports educational tuition and associated expenses. The annual application deadline is April 30.
The Wayne M. Henkle, M.D., Scholarship was established in memory of a long-time and much-loved community physician. The fund is designated for residents of western Klickitat or eastern Skamania counties who seek secondary education or further training in the health care field. The annual application deadline is April 30.
The Foundation grants $500 – $1,000 to each recipient depending on the requested amounts and number of awards granted. Recipients of these scholarships must be dedicated to returning to Skyline Hospital’s service area to work or volunteer in health care for at least one year.
