Skyline Health Foundation Grants & Scholarships
2024 Community Health Grant: Online Application
Supports non-profit organizations within the Columbia River Gorge that work to improve the health and well-being of the community.
Application Deadline: On a rolling basis – grants are awarded three times a year (April, August, and December 2024).
Criteria To Apply:
- 501c3 non-profit organizations with tax-exempt status that are not a religious, political, or governmental organization, and are not applying for an event.
- Located within the Skyline Health Service Area, which includes Klickitat County Hospital District No. 2, Eastern Skamania County, Hood River County, and Mosier.
The Brown Nursing Scholarship Fund:
Supports nursing education.
Application Deadline: The application window has closed for 2024.
The Brown Nursing Scholarship established by Ted and Sylvia Brown is designated for residents of the Gorge who seek secondary education in the nursing field. The scholarship supports educational tuition and associated expenses.
Wayne M. Henkle MD Scholarship Fund:
Supports healthcare education (not nursing). For nursing education, apply for The Brown Nursing Scholarship.
Application Deadline: The application window has closed for 2024.
The Wayne M. Henkle, M.D. Scholarship was established in memory of long-time and much-loved community physician. The fund is designated for residents of western Klickitat or eastern Skamania counties who seek secondary education or further training in the healthcare field.
