New Patient Billing Statements
Your New and Improved Billing Experience
To meet the billing experience that patients have requested, Skyline Health has implemented the following improvements:
- Easier to understand statements
- Less mail per household
- Online and mobile options
While the new statements have an updated appearance, they contain the same information you are accustomed to seeing. Here is a quick walkthrough of information available on the improved statements.
1 – Patient Balance – Amount Due
The top right corner of the page shows the outstanding balance for all visits you as the financially responsible party (guarantor). This will not include visits still in process with insurance or reoccurring visits currently ongoing, such as physical therapy.
2 – Important Messages
This section provides important information about the status of your account or additional information that you need to know.
3 – Account Summary
This section summarizes balances due and indicates any payment plans established. You will also find your Account Number here, which will be useful if you need to speak with someone about your bill.
4 – Payment Options
If your account balances exceed $100, you may be eligible to set up a payment plan. This section provides a quick summary of options. Further information is available at the website listed on the statement: myskylinehealth.org/billpay.
5 – Payment Methods
You now have more options available to make your payment easily. These include creating an online payment on Skyline’s website, availability to pay by phone at any time (24/7), or an option to scan the QR code for a direct link to the website. If you choose, you can still pay by mail or bring your payment to the hospital.
6 – Payment Coupon
The payment coupon is at the very bottom of the statement.
7 – Details of Account(s)
This section provides a thorough detail of each visit including:
- Where the visit took place (hospital, clinic or rehabilitation)
- Date of the visit
- Explanation of each charge and the dollar amount
- Applied payments from insurance
- Applied payments from the guarantor
- The remaining amount due for a visit
Additional Information
In addition to the paper statement you receive in the mail, Skyline Health can send billing reminders through text and email. These notifications will be received before the paper statement is delivered. Reminders will be sent out several times throughout the month via email and text. The links in both texts and emails will also direct you to the payment portal, where you will be prompted to enter your zip code and date of birth to log in. No username or password is required.
If you want to adjust the number of notifications received, please login to the payment portal (myskylinehealth.org/billpay). On the bottom right-hand side of the desktop is a section titled “See Manage Notifications”. Here, you will be able to turn email and text notifications on or off, add a new email or phone number, and enroll in paperless billing.
