Recognition Walls

The Skyline Foundation proudly recognizes its many generous supporters by adding their personal, business, or family name to its beautiful recognition walls located inside Skyline Health. Donors giving a one-time gift or accumulative gifts of $1000 or more are recognized on the donor wall.

Directing Your Gift

Everyone has different interests, so you have option in directing your gift to the fund of your choice. Unrestricted gifts give us the most flexibility to meet the needs of our patients; however, you may want to support a particular program or fund new equipment at Skyline Health. The foundation has established the following funds to ensure financial stability for the future of our organization.

Gifts can be designated to any of the following funds and those donations will be restricted to the fund chosen. You may also designate your gift to a specific department within the hospital. We would be happy to discuss other areas you might be interested in supporting.

Endowment Fund

The donations designated to this fund would remain intact and only the income generated from the fund would be used for program services. This fund was established in January 1996.

Wayne M. Henkle Scholarship Fund

The Wayne M Henkle Scholarship Fund provides educational scholarship monies for health care related college level or continuing education to employees of Skyline Health or residents of the hospital’s service area if willing to work in the area for one year minimum after completion.

The Brown Nursing Scholarship

The Brown Nursing Scholarship Fund supports nursing students’ educational tuition and, as needed, associated expenses if willing to work in the area for one year minimum after completion.

Breast Health Program

This program provides screening and diagnostic mammography for those who are under/uninsured (biopsies are not funded). It is also used to purchase equipment related to breast health.

Memorial Giving

A memorial gift given in honor or memory of an individual can be made to the organization at any time. There are many reasons that prompt an individual to make a memorial donation, such as the death of a friend or family member, special occasions, or past experiences, etc. This type of gift allows the donor to memorialize an individual(s) who have made a special impact.

Planned Giving

Planned giving provides donors additional opportunities to contribute. Planned gifts include, but are not limited to the following: stocks, real estate, life insurance, or personal property. You can also establish a charitable remainder trust, charitable lead trust, or designate Skyline Health as one of the beneficiaries in your will.

Naming Opportunities

In order to recognize special gifts to the hospital, the Skyline Foundation offers naming opportunities.

Volunteer

Volunteers are an essential part of the Skyline Health team, providing a range of services to our patients and staff. Volunteers offer their time at the hospital or hospital-sponsored community events.
